The most recent updates with Chrome (v100) and Safari (15.4) have added further security enhancements with DRM (Digital Rights Management) so that capturing screenshots of the media will be blackened for security purposes from CORE. This enhancement is a result of the latest browser updates and 5thkind will not be able to disable it.

Current Workarounds?
The current workaround is to use FireFox (current version 99.0.1) which will allow screenshots of media in CORE except for forensic watermarked media. Please note, outside of the FireFox screenshot workaround, Chrome browser is the preferred browser to use with CORE.
Forensic watermark material will have a shield displayed when looking at the thumbnail view
(for more information about watermarks and forensic watermarks feel free to click and read here)
The following browsers affected and display black screen on screenshotting w CORE (from time of publication):
Chrome (Version 100)
Safari (Version 15.4)
Note, since at least Chrome version 101, it is possible to screenshot if you first pause the video. In general though screenshoting should not be encouraged. There is no need to volunteer this information to the client. :-)
The following browser allows for screenshotting on media that is not forensically watermarked
Firefox 99.0.1
